Description

The Fleur Jaune Canyon is certainly the most famous canyon in Réunion. It features a series of 7 rappels that flow continuously.

We begin the excursion with a short 5-minute walk in the bed of the Fleur Jaune River. Then we reach the first 18-meter rappel. Following that, we continue with the successive rappels, eventually arriving at the famous 55-meter rappel that offers a panoramic view of the Cilaos Cirque and Piton des Neiges.

The return hike of the Fleur Jaune Canyon is an integral part of the activity. We will climb back up what we descended, with a final section on a roped ridge in a tropical mountaineering atmosphere. It’s an adrenaline-pumping experience that requires a strong heart!

Time and place

The meeting point is at 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the multimedia center in Cilaos.

Please note that the meeting time and location may change (due to weather conditions or canyon congestion). In any case, you will receive a confirmation email the night before with all the necessary information.
